Application Resources
Infrastructure resources a microservice can request from its PlatformApplication through spec.resourceRequirements — databases, caches, storage, and more. Each page below is generated from the resource's shipped XRD and ResourceCapability, so it matches what the platform actually accepts.
📄️ BlobContainer
Provisions a private Azure Blob Storage container in the environment's storage account and grants the requesting application's workload identity owner access to it. The container's server-side name is namespaced ({namespace}-{containerName}) because the storage account is shared across the environment — read `containerName` from the connection secret rather than assuming the literal value. No credentials are published: the pod authenticates with its workload identity.
📄️ MongoDatabase
Provisions a dedicated MongoDBCommunity replica set (via the MCK operator) with an application database + SCRAM user, External-Secrets-backed credentials (generated or read from the cloud secret store), and the cloud secret-store + identity primitives when store-backed.
📄️ PostgresCluster
Provisions a dedicated CloudNativePG cluster with an application database and owner role (via bootstrap.initdb), continuous backups to object storage, and the cloud backup storage + identity primitives.
📄️ PostgresDatabase
Provisions a PostgreSQL database and a scoped login role that owns it on a shared PostgreSQL server (via provider-sql). The target server is discovered at reconcile time from the shared cluster's published EnvironmentConfig — its host and the provider-sql ProviderConfig name are NOT baked in and NOT set here; only which shared cluster to select (`sharedProvider`) is. Server-side database/role names are namespaced to avoid collisions — read `dbname`/`username` from the connection secret rather than assuming the literal dbName.
📄️ PostgresFlexibleServer
Provisions a managed Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server with a single application database. Sized dev→prod: production sets highAvailabilityMode, a larger SKU, geo-redundant backups, longer retention, and a private endpoint; dev takes the Burstable defaults with public access closed.
📄️ ValkeyCache
Provisions a sharded Valkey cluster (valkey-operator) with automatic failover. Cluster mode is always on: only DB 0 is available and multi-key commands must share a hash slot, so applications need a cluster-aware client.
